One of the best displays of the Northern Lights in the continental United States happened on a lonely Wednesday night in 2021. This image is from Lake Superior in northern Wisconsin, part of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. The clouds I think really added to the image and the glow on the Lake and the vibrant pink and white pillars were a magical site to behold in the middle of the night on this deserted stretch of wild beach.
