Aurora Borealis by the Bay

A gorgeous, pulsating display of the Aurora Borealis was in store in the wee hours of the night along the shores of Lake Superior. Here, part of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, the Northern Lights danced and moved with lightning speed during a once-a-decade solar storm over Little Sand Bay and the harbor that in warm weather is often packed with boats. But on this night there was not a soul around except me, enjoying a private and immaculate viewing of "The Lights."
